My mom has issues with leg and foot edema, more so in one side, so finding shoes that she can easily get on or off and allows for the swelling has been a chore. These shoes have addresses her issue of different size feet due to swelling and they are very easy for her to get on and adjust.I had to go up 1/2 size because the seam across the toes rubbed on a gout-inflamed toe. She normally wears a size 9 so instead of the 8.5 - 9 fitting her, the 9 - 9.5 was the better fit because of the toe seam issue. She has dexterity issues too, so, not having to deal with shoe laces is a big plus. The velcro fastening is great for allowing flexibility in being able to get a snug fit no matter how much fluctuation there is in the feet swelling (due to gout).
