Sticks well to hard surfaces. I have only tried it on hard wood and on wires and it works well on both of those. The velcro part works like velcro should.I bought this to help me hang some shelves that I could not utilize screws for due to plumbing and electric restrictions behind the wall I was working on. It was very easy to install and is low profile on the white painted wall. Weight is a factor, as one of the shelves I put liquid bottles on it and eventually it fell off the wall. With that in mind light weight items stay up fine and I can move the shelves around a bit. Adhesive is very strong so not sure how much success I will have removing them. Remote Control?It's good and worked for what I needed, however, the hook and loop strips were both on the same plastic sheet, could not utilize the box features because they were on the same strip. I had to cut the plastic to separately store the hook from the loop and in the process it became tangled. It was just slightly inconvenient however the overall product is great.Works great for hiding cables and 6 outlet extensions to wall.I bought this for my AppleTV Remote. I kept misplacing the small thing so I put velcro to the back of it and to my side table. Now the remote lives there. Adhesive has lasted for about a year now, so it's pretty good.You will always find a use for this! Love the tape since I am able to custom it what I need.When I need something to stay put but still be able to remove it, I use Velcro...not some generic hook-and-loop fastener tape..Velcro, accept no substitutes.Genius idea, easy to use, affordable. Great to keep around the house.Okay first of all. WHAT A PRODUCT. I cannot speak highly enough about VELCRO Brand Sticky Back. Not only did this product arrive quickly (considering how much I purchased) but the quality and sheer adhesive strength of is just second to none. It turns out that if you sew a boat load of this stuff into your clothing, apply enough of it around the house and throw a few trampolines in the middle of the living room, you've got one heck of an afternoon! It's unreal. Really fun.UPDATE:My battery is running low. My phone is about to die. I'm also very light headed. Somehow I have managed to become too stuck to the ceiling. If anyone is reading this, please contact the OPP in Southern Ontario. Tell my family that I love them. At least I will die with the comfort of knowing how incredible this product is and the powerful bond we now share.Purchased this because thinking it was Velcro brand it was of the same quality as other Velcro products. The adhesive side is absolutely terrible and start to peel off weekly for what I use it for with the other Velcro product I used before held up for at least 4-6 months. It has been 3 weeks use this product and I have replaced it twice already. Just threw over 3/4's of it in the garbage and going back to the one I used to use. Terrible quality for the money, I am not sure where all these positive reviews come from but buyer beware.I bought dollar store velcro - sucks. This velcro is worth it.*For those of you who are wondering: this package comes with both the hard (hook) and soft (loop) sides of velcro rolled into one roll. One roll of hook AND one roll of loop sides of velcro each.This was defective. It must have gotten too hot at one time. The clear plastic backing that protects the adhesive was impossible to remove. the Velcro itself functioned fine but if you cant get the tape off the back it renders it useless. I did not return as I had already cut numerous strips from the product. Ended up hot gluing the strips to make them stick.The adhesion is so strong that the paint on my wall was taken off when I tried to take it off the wall, so it's important to do it right the first time. It is also quite different to take off the black from the adhesion side but using a knife will make it much easier.
