Needed it to fix a couple hinged covers on a Triton boat project. One is a plastic lid covering the boarding ladder. Looks like this is exactly what they used at the factory. The bottom grip pieces had become ineffective at attaching to the top (lid) piece (which is screwed on and looks fine) and I don't like things rattling. This matched up, stuck well to gelcoat so far, and holds the covers tight with 2 - 1" square pieces each and they're easy enough to open when needed. Glad I found this version and I expect to find many uses for it around the house and garage. It takes a little more pressure to latch them than common fuzzy velcro loop I'm used to. I just drop the covers from a couple inches and they're latched now -- with no rattling.Update: I liked it so much I ordered 6' more but it did not come with the adhesion promoter included in the 1' piece I originally bought. Don't know if that was an oversight or what but it's a bummer.Very strong adhesive, I think I might take a portion of the ceiling down removing the tape upon moving thou, it’s so strong! I recommend ??Not the easiest to remove once cure this is a good thing.I used this to secure a drone battery. Held really well; it shifted a few mm in a crash, but it was the adhesive on the battery that got bumped, not the alfa-lok.
