I have a baby gate that keeps my dogs from going upstairs on our carpet and I use these to secure the gate during storms. One of our dogs freaks out a little and will scratch at the gate until she gets it open and then will potty on the carpet. These are really great things to have around. I love that they are super stretchy and the velcro tab will secure to any spot along the band. While I don't use these for much outside of the reason I purchased them, I can see them being of use for a variety of purposes around the house. WOULD NOT recommend for anything heavy duty.I’ve used all sizes of the Velcro brand straps and love them. I had this 27” one fail after only 3 days of use. The adhesive they use to connect the strap end must have failed. All the others I’ve used are still going strong.Bought these to secure a rolled-up sleeping pad. Gets the job done. Nice product.Great for holding water hoses and electric cords in the camper.Bought these straps to hold together a large metal dog crate when disassembled for travel. The straps are long, strong and easy to use!It stretches too much.I’m using them for towels and sheets. They have just the right amount of elasticity and the Velcro hoods well.Got these to keep a yoga mat rolled up when it didn’t come with its own strap. I’m a bit concerned that the Velcro isn’t going to be durable.
